Kenya Nyeri AA Ichuga Washed
Jackrabbit Java is excited to bring our customers yet another high-quality Kenyan coffee. This coffee is grown in the cool and fertile central highlands of Nyeri County. Processed at co-operative operated, Ichuga wetmill, this Kenya AA top lot utilizes a traditional fully washed process using fresh water from Gathiururuko stream. Coffee cherries are delivered to Ichuga where they undergo careful sorting to select only the ripest for processing. Ripe coffee cherries are de-pulped and fermented in water for 12-48 hours. Afterwards, the coffee is washed and graded and dried slowly in the sun on raised African beds for approximately 3 weeks.
